Eaton Smith Solicitors is excited to announce a new ‘Pay As You Go Scheme’ offering clients a cost effective service in family law disputes.

You remain in control of your case, and your costs; seeking advice on only the most essential legal issues.

Traditionally, clients are charged a fee for every action, such as telephone calls and letters, that are undertaken on their case by the solicitor; with the Pay As You Go Scheme, it offers a real opportunity for clients to remain in control of their costs, whilst remaining assured they are receiving expert advice on those issues that demand it.

The client will remain acting ‘in person’ throughout and be responsible for their own paperwork and administration; helping to cut costs further.

You will seek legal advice only when you really need it and require expert advice from a lawyer.

At our first meeting we will assess your suitability for the Pay As You Go Scheme and whether it is right for you, also, you are free at any time during your case to switch to Full Representation and remain with the same lawyer throughout your case.

Jane Mahaffey, Partner in the Family Department was quoted as saying,

“We are excited to be able to offer a new way of delivering advice to those going through an extremely emotional time in their lives, be it the breakdown of a relationship or issues relating to a child. In these times of austerity and the sweeping cuts to public funding we believe this scheme offers clients a way of remaining in control of their costs whilst still having access to specialist legal advice.”

All advice under the scheme will be given face to face by appointment only following which you simply pay for the time spent during that meeting; it’s that simple.

We can offer a range of advice in relation to the breakdown of a marriage or a relationship, to issues connected with children. We can assist with preparing for court hearings, completing applications to court or responding to correspondence sent from other lawyers or CAFCASS amongst other things.
