The Huddersfield Incorporated Law Society has been busy fundraising for a local charity, The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust.

President of the society Ruth Coneron said, “This year, we decided to nominate The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust as our designated Charity. We are aware of the great work the Charity does to fund much needed medical research into teenage cancer as well as to provide emotional and practical support to the teenage cancer patients across the country. We were therefore delighted to raise the sum of £1,250 from our annual quiz and dinner, and we hope to continue our fundraising ventures throughout the year.

Commenting on this, fundraising manager at the charity Helen Mervill, said ““The team are thrilled to have been selected as the charity of choice by the Huddersfield Law Society this year. The funds raised from the annual dinner will be hugely beneficial for the charity’s support of young cancer patients. Equally beneficial is the awareness amongst its members the support will have generated. We would like to thank all those involved with organising the dinner and all those who contributed on the evening.”
