Breakfast and presentation at the offices of Eaton Smith Solicitors, 14 High Street Huddersfield:
Thursday 19th April 2018
(8.30am – 10.30am)
You are warmly invited to join us for our next bi-annual employment law update seminar.
As you'll know, if you've been along to one of our seminars in the past, we don't charge for the seminar but do ask that you reserve your spot early to ensure that you're booked on and don't miss out! We will be providing breakfast sandwiches and hot drinks from 8.30am onwards, with the seminar starting shortly thereafter.
Kate Booth will take you through an overview of key changes within employment law, including a look at some interesting learning points from case law, upcoming changes and a brief refresh on the General Data Protection Regulation.
We will also be joined by Arta Heath of MyUKVisas - a specialist immigration law firm based in Huddersfield, helping both private and commercial clients to navigate the complexities of immigration. Arta will be talking about challenges that employers now face to ensure that the correct checks have been made and the right evidence obtained to show compliance with the law in relation to not to employing illegal staff, retaining EU staff in the face of Brexit, obtaining and renewing staff visas and the intricacies of obtaining and maintaining sponsorship licences to employ staff from outside the UK.
The event is free but spaces are limited; if you would like to attend, your early confirmation would be appreciated.
