The Huddersfield and Dewsbury Incorporated Law Society is proud to announce that it has successfully raised £2137 in support of Andy's Man Club, a vital charity dedicated to men's mental health. The funds were collected over a twelve-month period during Jamie Humpheson's 2023/2024 tenure as President of the Law Society. Jamie, an Associate at Eaton Smith Solicitors, led the Society's fundraising efforts, which included a variety of engaging events.

A significant portion of the funds, over £1000, was raised at the Annual Law Society Dinner held in October 2024. The generosity of attendees and supporters contributed immensely to this success. Additional contributions came from a series of other events, such as the annual softball tournament and the Round the Res Run event, demonstrating the commitment of the Society and its members to making a meaningful impact.

To mark the culmination of these fundraising efforts, Richard Bonnor from Andy's Man Club met with representatives from the Huddersfield and Dewsbury Incorporated Law Society to formally receive the donation. The funds raised will go towards supporting Andy's Man Club’s essential work in providing peer-to-peer support groups and tackling the stigma surrounding men's mental health.

Andy's Man Club was founded in 2016 with the mission of offering a safe and open space for men to talk about their mental health struggles without fear of judgment. The charity now runs free support groups in over 100 locations across the UK, helping men who may feel isolated, overwhelmed, or struggling with life’s challenges. By encouraging open conversations and fostering a sense of community, Andy’s Man Club is playing a crucial role in suicide prevention and improving men’s well-being.

Jamie Humpheson, commented on the achievement, saying: “It has been an honour to support Andy’s Man Club during my presidency. The work they do is truly life-changing, and we are proud to have played a part in furthering their mission. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and donated throughout the year.”
