If you want help collecting your debts but are concerned about the cost, we can help.

We issue proceedings within 24 hours of receiving your instructions.

All you pay is the Court Fee based on the amount claimed. If the debt is paid in response to this and the debtor pays the Court Fee, you pay nothing and your payment is returned.

We can do this because of the volume of cases we are dealing with. Eaton Smith is the largest firm based in Huddersfield working on behalf of business clients. Our charges are paid from the costs recovered through the Court and from the interest we claim on the debt.

To avoid bad debts we also offer a comprehensive review of your credit control systems. Court Rules mean that all businesses must comply with certain procedures or you run the risk of facing penalties.

How does it work?

• You inform the debtor that you intend to start proceedings (we can provide a specimen letter).
• Send us a copy of your unpaid invoice (minimum £500), copy of your warning letter and a cheque for the Court Fee.
• We then prepare and issue the Court proceedings (usually within 24 hours) - at no cost to you.
• If there is no defence we will obtain judgment at no cost to you.
